Im Ho debuted as an actor around 1993 – 1994. In 1993, He appeared as the 15th talent for public recruitment at KBS but did not play a particular role initially. After that, he succeeded in making his name known for the first time by playing the lead role of Sukjong of Joseon in a drama called Jang Hee-bin. He was widely known to the public for the historical drama called Dae Jang Geum and was becoming more famous for his acting as Jeong Mong-ju in Jeong Do-jeon historical drama in 2014. Im Ho was won the Best Actor Award with nominated works “Star Dust (별이 되어 빛나리)” at the 2015 KBS Drama Awards.

Da Jang Geum, also known as Jewel in the Palace, and The Great Jang-Geum as the title. The drama was starred Lee Young-ae, Ji Jin-hee, Hong Ri-na, Im Ho, Yang Mi-kyung, and Kyeon Mi-ri. Im Ho was taking a role as King Jungjong. King Jungjong is the 11th King of the Joseon Dynasty. He’s a kind man who, after his first wife had been forced to commit suicide by cabinet ministers for political reasons, shut his heart down. The King mourns intensely for his beloved queen, unable to save her. He’s constantly conscious that he’s just a puppet of the named ministers, and he’s furious that he’s unable to do anything about it. In the middle of his determined attempts to press for democratic change, the King gets to know Jang-geum and becomes fond of her warm personality and excellent skills. Im Ho Appearance on My Sassy Girl

My Sassy Girl is a South Korean film starred by Jun Ji-hyun, Cha Tae-hyun, Kim In-moon, Song Ok-sook, Han Jin-hee, Im Ho, and Yang Geum-seok. The film was released in 2001 and is based on a series of love memoirs published online written by Kim Ho-sik, which later adapted into a fictional novel. In this film, Im Ho playing a role as the Blind Date Guy. My Sassy Girl tells about a college student who gets entangled with a self-centered young woman. Im Ho Appearance on Queen Seondeok

Queen Seondeok is one of many South Korean historical drama. The drama starred Lee Yo-won, Go Hyun-jung, Park Ye-jin, Uhm Tae-woong, Kim Nam-gil. The drama was aired on MBC every Monday and Tuesday and finished with 62 episodes. The drama tells a story about the life of Queen Seondeok of Silla, the second female queen in the history of East Asia documented and inspired a renaissance in thought, literature, and the arts in Silla. Im Ho was playing as a cameo for episode 1 of the drama. He played King Jinji of Shilla. King Jinji is the 25th emperor of the Kingdom of Silla in Korea. Im Ho Appearance on Jeong Do-jeon

Jeong Do-jeon is a South Korean historical drama. The drama starred Cho Jae-hyun, Yoo Dong-geun, Seo In-seok, Park Yeong-gyu, Im Ho, and Ahn Jae-mo. The drama aired on KBS1 from January 4 to June 29, 2014, every Saturday and Sunday. The drama tells a story about Jeong Do-jeon, a famous Korean scholar-official from the late Goryeo to the early Joseon period. Im Ho was one of the main characters. He was playing the role of Jeong Mong-ju. During the late Goryeo period, Jeong Mong-ju was a prominent Korean scholar-official and diplomat. Little fun facts of the behind drama story are the cast members attended a four-month course taught by renowned historian Lee Deok-il on Confucianism and the numerous government regulations that were developed at the beginning of the Joseon period (while Goryeo’s national religion was Buddhism, Joseon was based strictly on Confucian values). Im Ho was married to his girlfriend on March 6, 2010. The wedding took place in Lotte Hotel in Sogong-dong, Seoul. They met for the first time in 2008 with the introduction of an acquaintance, and after dating for about a year and a half, they got married. His girlfriend, born in 1981, graduated from the College of Fine Arts and is known to be a designer at Jewelry.
