He enlisted as an assistant to the 3rd Division in 2010 at the age of 21. He enjoys walking and usually walks 10 to 20 kilometers along Dorimcheon Stream, or 40 kilometers for seven to eight hours if he hasn’t walked a lot. He grew up in Pohang and attended school in Busan. He was well-liked because he was bright and active in school, as well as a former elementary school president. His first work that started acting was an hour-long presentation written and posted by the high school theater department. He is often said to have never considered a career other than acting. “If I had chosen a different career path, I would have pursued a career as an athlete because I enjoy sports.” Kim Jung-hyun, according to Forbes magazine, has an exceptional ability to convey a variety of emotions by acting. Kim Jung-hyun made his debut with the feature film Overman at the Busan International Film Festival in 2015. He was recognized as a rising star in the independent film industry, having previously nurtured his talents on stage and in short films. The movie Overman in particular had a huge meaning for him. He said he was cast in a number of dramas and films, including Jealousy Incarnate, School 2017, Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People, etc. and later referred to it as a career turning point. Welcome to Waikiki is a South Korean drama series that starred Kim Jung-hyun, Lee Yi-kyung, and Son Seung-won. The drama was aired on JTBC from February 5th, 2018 to April 17th, 2018. It’s a comical portrayal of the dreams, friendships, and love stories of young people living in this era. Kim Jung-hyun played the role of Kang Dong-gu. Kang Dong-gu is a rising star who once aspired to be a world-class film director on an equal level with Christopher Nolan. He is a funny young man who runs Waikiki, a guest house that is on the verge of collapse, and makes a living by filming his 60th birthday party, first birthday parties, and wedding videos. Kim Jung-hyun’s Appearance in Crash Landing on You

Kim Jung-hyun appeared in the drama Crash Landing on You as Gu Seung-jun/Alberto Gu. Gu Seung-jun is a charming, intelligent, but poor South Korean swindler with British citizenship. Seung-jun and Yoon Se-ri broke up in the past. Later, he became a wanted man for embezzling large sums of money from Se-ri’s second brother, Yoon Se-hyung, and is recommended to North Korea by broker Oh. However, he is reunited with Yoon Se-ri, who made an emergency landing in North Korea after paragliding in North Korea. He also has a delicate competition with Ri Jeong-hyeok, who has started to get closer to her. From this point on, he became entangled with Seo-dan, Ri Jeong-hyeok’s fiancée, and as time goes by, his heart gradually begins to turn toward Seo-dan. Mr. Queen is a fusion historical comedy-drama that deals with the happening of Jang Bong-hwan, who lives in modern Korea, in the body of Queen Cheorin of the Joseon Dynasty. The main characters of Mr. Queen are Shin Hye-sun as Kim So-yong (Queen Cheorin) and Kim Jung-hyun as Lee Won-beom (King Cheoljong). Lee Won-beom is the 25th king of the Joseon Dynasty.
