Saget married Sherri Kramer in 1982. They had three daughters. The couple divorced in 1997. In 2018, Saget married Kelly Rizzo, host of Eat Travel Rock TV. Saget was a board member of the Scleroderma Research Foundation. His scleroderma efforts benefited celebrities like Scary Movie star Regina Hall. In an interview with Ability Magazine, Saget discussed how his sister was diagnosed with scleroderma at 43 and died at 47. She had previously been misdiagnosed numerous times. Bob Saget was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Benjamin Saget and Rosalyn Saget. His father was an executive at a supermarket and mother was a hospital administrator. Saget went to the Abington Senior High School and wanted to be a doctor but one of his teachers, after seeing his creative talent, pushed him towards pursuing a career in movies. He went to the Temple University to pursue film studies. It was during this time that he created Through Adam’s Eyes. It was a black and white film for which he got the Student Academy Award. After graduating from the Temple University, he went to study film at the University of California but he did not attend much of it and finally dropped out. In 1983, Saget got married to his high school sweetheart Sherri Kramer. They had three daughters together: Aubrey, Lara Melanie and Jennifer Belle. The marriage worked out only for 15 years. They parted ways in 1997. In 2018, he married blogger Kelly Rizzo. Bob Saget was found dead by the hotel staff at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes in Orange County, Florida, on January 9, 2022. The authorities did not find any foul play or drug use. He was 65 at the time of his death. His favorite pastimes included reading and traveling. Bob initially desired to become a doctor, however, his Honors English teacher, Elaine Zimmerman, noticed his creative potential and suggested him to make a career in films. He was one of the board members of the Scleroderma Research Foundation (SRF) since 2003. After his demise in January 2022, Saget was honored with several donations and help offers for his favorite charity Scleroderma Research Foundation (SRF). According to a statement made by the executive director of the Scleroderma Research Foundation on January 13, 2022, they received donations from more than 1500 people from all over the world. The donations totaled more than $90,000. In addition, the charity was also awarded a donation of $1.5 million by one of its board members in form of a grant in memory of Saget. A month prior to his death, Bob Saget shot for his final interview (on December 6, 2021) with CBS Mornings in which he mainly talked about the loss of his sister Gay Saget in 1993 due to scleroderma, a connective tissue disorder. In the interview, he also talked about the healing power of comedy.
