“Breakthrough Korean Ver.” By Twice was first pre-released digitally for the Japanese single on June 12th, 2019, by Warner Music Japan. Then, three months later, Twice released another extended play titled Feel Special on September 23rd, 2019, where “Breakthrough Korean Ver.” was included as the seventh track which was given as a special gift that Twice presented their fans, Once’s. Unfortunately, when “Breakthrough Korean Ver.” by Twice was released for their 8th EP on September 23rd, 2019, one of the Japanese members, Mina, could not join the comeback stage with the other members for promotional activities and had to take a hiatus because of anxiety concerns. But, she had finished all the recording and production of the EP including filming for the music video for the lead single, “Feel Special”. Also, when Twice held their first promotional showcase, the leader, Jihyo, performed while sitting in a chair, not doing the choreography because she had a minor neck injury.
