In 2011, Choi Woo-shik returned to South Korea and auditioned to become an actor. He was accepted by JYP Entertainment and began working under that agency’s auspices. Before the KTX train left the Seoul Station, a girl who was infected with a horrific virus that was spreading like wildfire and made her like a zombie jumps onto the train. Seok-woo, Soo-an, and other passengers on the KTX train must fight for their lives. The movie starred Gong-yoo, Jung Yu-mi, Ma Dong-seok, Kim Soo-ahn, Kim Eui-sung, Choi Woo-shik, Ahn Soo-hee, Jang Hyuk-jin, Shim Eun-kyung. In Train To Busan, Choi Woo-shik takes on the role of Young-kook, a high school student and baseball player. In the movie, Young-kook and his friends, including Jin-hee (Ahn So-hee), were taking a trip to Busan on board the KTX. When the zombie was attacking the passengers on the KTX, Young-kook attempted to protect his friends. But, unfortunately his male friend was attacked by a zombie first and he had no choice besides protecting his female friend, Jin-hee, until the end. They fight with zombies and tried to survive with some of the other passengers.

Young-kook tried hard to protect Jin-hee from the zombie attack but, sadly, both of them were bitten by zombies in the end.

Choi Woo-shik in Day6’s Congratulations MV

Congratulations is a song by South Korean band Day6, which was debuted under JYP Entertainment on September 7, 2015. The group began with six original members, one of whom, Junhyeok, left the group in 2016. The rest of the members are Jae, Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon.

Congratulations is the main track of Day6’s debut single album, “The Day”, which was about a guy who congratulates his ex-girlfriend in unhappy with her new boyfriend after cheating on him and causing their breakup. The male model in the Congratulations music video is Choi Woo-shik. He appeared in the video to support his label group-mate in his previous agency, JYP Entertainment.

Choi Woo-shik in Set Me Free

A young boy called Young-jae lived at the group home Isaac’s House. In this house, the kids who were about to turn 17 had to leave the house and go back to their own home, but Young-jae didn’t want to go back to live with his irresponsible father. One day, Young-jae’s father come to see him and tried to dump his younger brother, Min-jae, on him. Because of that, Young-jae explodes with anger. This movie was released on November 13, 2014.

  In Set Me Free, Choi Woo-shik plays one of the main characters. His role is as a young guy in his teens who acts like a model student interested in becoming a priest but, secretly, he steals and tells lies to his friends. Young-jae is not a good young boy. He often steals and lies. He does it all just to survive and financially support his younger brother. Young-jae tries his best to do anything to get out of his hard situation. The simple and sad story that wraps up with neat conflict, is a highly recommended watch.

Choi Woo-shik in The Package

Yoon So-so (Lee Yeon-hee) worked as a travel guide in France. She leads a group of tourists on the a package tour. She meets with one group of tourists from Korea and each of the travelers has their own story. San Ma-roo (Jung Young-hwa) joined the tour after he got dumped by his girlfriend. Kim Gyung-jae (Choi Woo-shik) has been dating his girlfriend So Ran (Han Shi-eun) for about seven years. Other members of the group include Jung Yeon-sung (Ryu Seung-soo), who joined the tour with his partner, a mysterious man (Yoon Park), who seems like to following Yoon So-so, and others. They didn’t know each other at first and didn’t want to be involved with the others’ privacy, but while they traveled they become closer and develop relationships. This drama ran from October 13 until November 18, 2017, and finished with 12 episode in total.

Choi Woo-shik as Kim Gyung-jae partners with actress Han Shi-eun as So Ran to play the long-time couple who have been dating for seven years. They were a fun couple, but after being together so long, they sometimes get bored with each other. Sometimes, they want to break up but never quite get around to it. Sometimes they feel like they cannot live without each other and scared to ltry. The long-time relationship goes in a circle, and shows that sometimes ou need to be apart from someone in order tor realize how much you love them.

Choi Woo-shik in Golden Slumber

Golden Slumber is a movie adapted from a Japanese novel with the same title, written by Kotaro Ihaka and which was released in 2017. In 2018, South Korea appointed this novel be made into a movie, which was released on February 14, 2018. This action thriller is about a deliveryman, Gun Woo, who become involved in a conspiracy by a powerful man after he’s held responsible for an explosion that caused the death of a presidential candidate. The film was directed by Noh Dong-seok and starred Gang Dong-won, Kim Eui-sung, Han Hyo-joo, Kim Sung-kyun, im Dae-myung, Yoo Jae-myung, Yoo Kye-sang, Kim You-jung, Choi Woo-shik, and Jung So-min.

In Golden Slumber Choi Woo-shik appeared as a cameo and plays  Joo ho. He is the younger brother of Gun Woo, but they are not blood related.

Choi Woo-shik in The Princess and the Matchmaker

Touching on themes of comedy, historical, colossal, astrology, and romance, The Princess and the Matchmaker tells about princess Song hwa in the Joseon Dinasty, who refuses her fate of marrying someone who matches her marital harmony. A saju (matchmaking) expert, Seo Do-yoon, received an order from the King to help him pick a husband for his daughter, Princess Song hwa, based on their fortunes. There are four men on the princess’s future-husband list, with different fate signs, but the princess refuses her fate and decides to leave the palace to find her husband by herself. This film is directed by Hong Chang-pyo, starring Shim Eun-kyung, Lee Seung-gi, Kim Sang-kyung, Yeon Woo-jin, Kang Min-hyuk, Choi Woo-shik, Jo Bok-rae, Minho (Shinee), Kim Do-yeob, Lee Soo-ji, and Son Jong-hak. The movie runs for about 110 minutes and was released on February 28, 2018.

Choi Woo-shik plays Nam Chi-ho, who is one of four husband candidates for Princess Song hwa. His character is a terrible character who seems very sweet from the front butis a psycho underneath. Nam Chi-ho does not hesitate to punish his slave inhumanely. He will cut off their finger or otherwise leave them disabled. He is very dangerous husband candidate for the princess. He almost killed the princess, herself, by pushing her into the ravine. In conclusion, Nam Chi-ho is a cold-hearted guy with a psycho side.
