NCT’s Lucas and (G)-IDLE’s Yuqi in Knowing Brothers
On August 11, 2018, JTBC released a preview of another upcoming episode of Knowing Brothers thatfeatured g.o.d’s Park Joon-hyung, NCT’s Lucas, GOT7’s BamBam and (G)-IDLE’s Yuqi. In this episode of Knowing Brothers, the guests all came from different countries to pursue their dreams in South Korea. This episode become one of the funniest of the show’s entire tenure.
Each guest star revealed how they got an audition and became an idol, then played games together with the show’s cast. Knowing Brothers, which was aired on JTBC, received a positive responses from the viewers as the episode was full of laughter and showed a lot of cultural and linguistic differences. In the last segment, the Knowing Brothers cast members and guest stars did “continued words” matches. Guest stars who weren’t Korean get two chances, while the members of Knowing Brothers only have one chance. At the end of the game, the only players who that remains were Seo Jang-hoon and Yuqi. Seo Jang-hoon mentioned a word whose last syllable was rather difficult. He looked a little guilty, so right at the last minute Lucas approached Yuqi and whispered a difficult word that made Seo Jang-hoon unable to continue the game and lose. Some netizens made comments such as, “A scene from a Taiwanese teen romantic drama,” “OMG my heart stopped“, “Ah handsome guy and beautiful girl“, “It feels like a movie! Running Man has both a Chinese and Vietnamese version. Different from the new Vietnamese version presented, the Chinese version has been entertaining audiences for years. However, with the Chinese version of Running Man four members recently left the show and were replaced by four new members, Wang Yan Lin, Zhu Ya Wen, NCT’s Lucas, and (G)-IDLE’s Yuqi. “Zheng Kai, Zhu Ya Wen, Angelababy, Li Chen, Wang Yan Lin, NCT’s Lucas and (G) I-DLE’s Yuqi will lead the latest ‘Running Man’ season. Please look forward to it,” wrote the production team for the Chinese version of Running Man‘s official Weibo account. Lucas, himself, also expressed his enthusiasm for joining the Chinese version of Running Man on his personal Weibo account. “I’m really excited to be a new family ‘Running Man’. I’m looking forward to the moment of running together,” Lucas wrote. The announcement of NCT’s Lucas and (G)-IDLE’s Yuqi joining the Chinese version of Running Man was quite enthusiastically welcomed by fans. Many fans were reminded of their “intimate” chemistry when they were guest stars on JTBC’s Knowing Brothers a few months ago. “OMG, I still remember their excitement at ‘Knowing Brothers’,” commented a fan. “Looking forward to the moment Lucas whispered to Yuqi as if ‘Knowing Brothers’,” added other fans. “Lucas and Yuqi are excited.
