Big Bang’s T.O.P’s Drug Scandal
Big Bang’s T.O.P was arrested due to his illegal drug-using since he was caught up during smoked marijuana with a woman in his house. Turns out, the woman was Han Seo-hee, who was known as a trainee in several agencies previously. Moreover, Han Seo-hee used to accused of having a relationship with T.O.P as well. It all started with the investigation in 2016 about illegal drug-using from XIN, the former stylist of 2NE1 as well as Big Bang’s close acquaintances. From investigation with XIN, it also leads to T.O.P as well. Some sources also revealed that the police possibly have been investigated T.O.P in 2016, but due to less evidence for the demand drug test of T.O.P, the investigation was stopped and the case didn’t take any further. Then in March 2017, the investigation of illegal drug-using went to Han Seo-hee who spotted smoking marijuana. The police also said that she did that in order to deal with stress. During the investigation, the police finally caught up T.O.P after checking Han Seo-hee’s belongings and following by her claims to smoked along with T.O.P at that time in his house. During her investigation, Han Seo-hee also (menyebutkan nama) T.O.P Previously, T.O.P who has begun his military service as a policeman since February 2017 and initially denied illegal drug-using by saying that he only smoked an e-cigarette. But due to strong evidence and positive drug test, he finally admitted that he was smoking marijuana on 3 different circumstances, approximately around October 2016. His drug test by using hair follicles also indicating positive which made him couldn’t deny any longer. Due to this case, T.O.P was being kicked out of his military service. It also meant that those days he has been spent in the army weren’t counted and he should have to enlist his military service again in the future. Not only that, but he could also in charge of five years in prison or paid for 50 million Won as well as his punishment. Then T.O.P also revealed his apology statement for his fans and family. According to Billboard, he said “I’m truly sorry that I disappointed my fans and the public. I will do my best to make a fresh start and not to make such a mistake again with that. I’ve learned from this lesson,” to the reporters. Meanwhile, The Seoul Central District Court also stated that T.O.P was guilty in terms of using marijuana, and he was in charge of 10 months jail term but suspended for two years due to his apology and remorse towards his fans as well. It also actually meant that T.O.P was on probation for two years, but it could change into 10 months in jail if during the probation he caught up breaking the rules or spotted consuming drugs illegally again. Not only that, but T.O.P also assigned to a government office in Yeongsan, Seoul as for public discipline duty from January 2018 until June 2019 as the replacement of his military service. Due to T.O.P’s drug illegal use case, Big Bang also decided to go for hiatus in two years.
T.O.P Found Unconscious
Later in June 2017, T.O.P was reportedly being hospitalized after he found. out unconscious due to drug overdose. The police also revealed that he got overdose after consuming prescription sedatives previously, and he was treated in the intensive care unit afterward. The overdose case also happened because T.O.P was possibly consuming more than his usual regular dose. After the news of T.O.P’s unconsciousness, the fans also became really worried about him. Moreover, they started to speculate that his condition might be one of the suicidal attempt as well. At that time, it also reported that T.O.P’s condition was quite bad since he couldn’t breathe properly and gave an unresponsive state. Meanwhile, the doctors from the hospital also revealed that he was suggested of had overdosed on benzodiazepine, which was known as a drug that mostly used as a treatment for insomnia, seizures, anxiety, as well as muscle spasms. However, they also believed that T.O.P’s condition will be fine and could recover quickly.
