While Yoo Jae-suk is known as the nation’s MC, EXO is known as Nation’s Pick. EXO is one of the top idol groups both domestically and globally. This group, under SM Entertainment, has been active from 2012 until the present and has nine members. EXO has released albums in multiple languages, such as Korean, Chinese, and Japanese. The group’s latest release is a single from EXO-SC, the second sub-unit in EXO. The sub-unit is composed of only two members, Sehun and Chanyeol. They dropped the single ‘What a Life‘ in July 2019.  Both of the artists are doing great in their expertise, now what do you think it would be like if they collaborated, will they make a masterpiece? Let’s check it out here!

Infinite Challenge

Infinite Challenge is a show that’s famous both in Korea and internationally. The show is often referred to as the “nation’s variety show”, which makes it one of the most successful variety shows because it’s been airing for 13 years. The permanent cast of this show is Yoo Jae-suk, Park Myeong-su, Jeong Jun-ha, Haha, Hwang Kwanghee, Jun Jin, Gil, Noh Hong-chul, and Jeong Hyeong-don. Every episode features celebrities to make the show more exciting. The program is largely unscripted and follows a similar format to most other challenge-based reality television programs. Many silly, absurd, or impossible to achieve missions are undertaken on the show, which leaves viewers addicted. The show was on the air until March 31, 2018. As one of the most-watched shows on Saturday night, of course, many viewers felt wistful when they heard it’s long run was ending. The reason the show wrapped up was the departure of the lead producer, Kim Tae-ho. Until now, still, many people have been waiting for the next season of the show to be announced. Let’s see if Kim Tae-ho will come back again with a new season or with a completely new variety show!

Duet fromThe Infinite Challenge

This duet produces a catchy song titled ‘Dancing King’ as part of SM Station, and also as a collaboration for ‘Infinite Challenge’. ‘Dancing King’ is a dance song based on brass sounds and a passionate samba rhythm. The lyrics tell you to forget the troubles of ordinary life and relieve your stress. You definitely can’t hold your body back from following the rhythm. They dropped their music video on September 17, 2016, on the SM Entertainment Channel. The song immediately slayed seven music charts after its release– Genie, Naver Music, Olleh Music, Mnet Music, Soribada, Bugs, and Monkey3. Before the official release, they had already performed it live at EXO Planet #3 – “The EXO’rDIUM” in Thailand on September 11. Shortly after the performance, Yoo Jae-suk became trending on Twitter. All the profits that they get from this song will be donated to charities. How kind they are! check out the mv here!

EXO & Yoo Jae-suk on Infinite Challenge

They had their first meeting in SM Entertainment’s dance studio. Yoo Jae-suk started the episode by interviewing EXO’s member, with a special appearance by Super Junior’s Kyuhyun. They showed the preview of the choreography and it made Lee Jae-suk doubt his skill. EXO suggested that he find more time to practice the choreography, because even the members of EXO thought it was difficult choreography. A funny moment was when the staff was talking about who EXO is. You can check out the clip here.

Recording Time

Moving on to the recording session, after Chen’s turn it was Jaesuk’s turn. Kai, Suho, Baekhyun, and Chen were there, giving their support and always compliment the nation’s MC. Kai suggested that he move his finger to match the rhythm. The finger thing worked really well and surprised everyone.

Dance Practice

As soon as Yoo Jae-suk met Baek Koo-young, the performance director and choreographer at SM Entertainment, he started the dancing lesson. Everyone there gave him applause after his first try following the instructions. They call him a dance prodigy, but Yoo Jae-suk kept denying that fact. He even wondered if it was a prank, and everyone laughed at this speculation. Moving on to his solo dance, even though he was struggling with the moves, he kept trying and finally made it. To be honest, he was kind of off-beat but we can forgive that. Kooyoung even agreed that he had talent, following by Baekhyun nodding his head. Jae-seok and EXO kept practicing, both together or separately, even though their schedule is really tight for the sake of Infinite Challenge‘s viewers and EXO-L (EXO’s fandom). Every time you saw Jae-seok, he kept improving until he reached the point you can see that he blends really well with EXO as the maknae. Check out the clips here!

Cast Member Reactions

The cast of Infinite Challange reacted to Yoo Jae-suk’s dance with EXO. They were all screaming excitedly, giving their best reactions to their friend. They said he was almost an idol because he was really in sync with other EXO members. HaHa even said that he was better than other three EXO’s members (Lay, Kai, and Sehun, who didn’t dance here). They were really proud of him up to the level where they just want to keep Yoo Jae-suk as their MC (yes, other casts were embarrassed).

Yoo Jae-suk didn’t want to be embarrassed alone, so he suggested all the cast take a turn to dance with the members of the group. After all the funny moments here, it’s time for the Infinite Challange’s member to teach EXO how to entertain the audience. They have a battle dance that will make you laugh out loud because of their silliness. Check out the highlight of this battle, Chanyeol’s freestyle dance that will give you culture shock!
