Isa made her debut with StayC, the first girl group to launch under High Up Entertainment after she became the first trainee of the agency in 2018. After receiving training at Hak Entertainment Academy in Busan, she passed the High Up Entertainment audition and joined the agency as a trainee in March 2018 and practiced for 2 years and 9 months. Isa’s and StayC’s debut was announced on September 8th, 2020, by the agency and is said to be produced under the famous producer Black Eyed Pilseung. The group consists of six girls with diverse charms and visuals, such as Isa, Sumin, Seeun, Sieun, Yoon, and J. The name of the group was revealed on October 11th, 2020, in which StayC stands for “Star To A Young Culture” or that they will become “a star leading a young culture.” The following days were filled with the release of a teaser featuring the members for two days followed by a group teaser. Isa’s individual debut teaser was revealed on October 25th, 2020, alongside Sumin. In the teaser images, Isa looks stunning with the shiny concept and gazing dreamily into the camera.
