Jang Ki-Yong in “Come and Hug Me”

Come and Hug Me was told a love story and redemption: Chae Do-Jin, a man who worked as a detective to redeem his father’s past fault. Meanwhile, there was Han Jae-Yi, a famous actress, but Chae Do-jin’s father was killing her parents. Chae Do-jin and Han Jae-Yi used to develop feelings towards each other. Several years later, they were accidentally met again through different situations, but their feelings towards each other remained the same. Through Come and Hug Me, Jang Ki-Yong was got male first lead character and played as Chae Do-jin. He was graduated from police university and worked as a detective afterwards. However, Chae Do-jin also had an unpleasant past. His father was known as a psychopath killing some people, including the parents of his first love, Han Jae-Yi. One of the reasons why he was decided to be a detective, he wanted to do redemption for what his father has done. Even he also changed his real name, Nam Woo into Chae Do-jin after he went to the police university. Chae Do-jin also is known as a cheerful and kind person as well. When he was still young, Chae Do-jin used to fell in love with Han Jae-Yi, they were had love at first sight. But after her parents have been killed, Han Jae-Yi was continued her mother’s career as an actress.

Jang Ki-Yong in “My Mister”

My Mister has narrated about Park Dong-hoon and his brothers’ life. Park Dong-hoon who has his own problems in his office, and found out that his wife also cheating on him. Aside from that, there was Lee Ji-an who also experiencing such hard times in her life. However, there was a certain condition that made her met Park Dong-hoon, and eventually, she fell in love with him. In the drama, Jang Ki-Yong was played as Lee Kwang-il. He was a child of a loan shark, then he was continued his parent’s job as a loan shark and looking for Lee Ji-an who had several debts from his family. Actually, Lee Kwang-il used to had a crush on Lee Ji-an since he was a child. Turns out, the feeling also remained the same as he gets older. Even though Lee Kwang-il was looked arrogant and wicked, but deep down he has sincere feelings for Lee Ji-an. When Lee Kwang-il was sawed Lee Ji-an when she got hit by Lee Kwang-il’s father, he also went blank. He couldn’t decide whether if he has to kill his father or killed himself because he didn’t want Lee Ji-an to be hurt.

Jang Ki-yong in “Born Again”

Born Again was one of the fantasy-romance K-Dramas, which also used ‘flashback’ plot as the story-line. The setting was changed between the 1980s era and the modern life era. Born Again was narrated the story between  Gong Ji-Cheol, Jung Ha-Eun, and Cha Hyeong-bin in the 1980s. The three of them were experiencing ‘dark’ moments in the past, even after they were born again and becoming a new reincarnation, their life separately still related to each other. Gong Ji-Cheol used to fell in love with Jung Ha-Eun, a second-hand bookshop owner. Even though Jung Ha-Eun was in a relationship with Cha Hyeong-bin, but Gong Ji-Cheol’s feeling was remained the same and only could become a secret admirer for her. Then in the modern life era, Gong Ji-Cheol was born as Cheon Jong-Beom, Jung Ha-Eun was born as Jung Sa-bin, and Cha Hyeong-bin was born as Kim Soo-hyuk. In Born Again, Jang Ki-Yong was played as Gong Ji-Cheol in the past life and played as Cheon Jong-Beom in the current life. He was the son of a murderer, and he has a ‘dark’ past since he was experienced sexual harassment and becoming a kind of psychopath. He was fell in love with Jung Ha-Eun in his past life. Then after he was born again, he was becoming Cheon Jong-Beom, an elite medical student, and met again with Jung Sa-bin and Kim Soo-hyuk. The three of them were involved in mummy discovery cases.

The romance series Search WWW has narrated a life of three career women; Bae Ta-mi, Song Ga-Kyeong, and Cha Hyeon. They were worked in two huge search engine company called Unicon and Barro. Bae Ta-mi and Cha Hyeon wanted to make Barro as the first search engine in South Korea, meanwhile, Song Ga-Kyeong wanted to hold Unicon in its first rank. Jang Ki-Yong was played as Park Mo-gun, the CEO of music company Millim Sound which also writes for game’s music. He was also is known as a genius composer, cheerful and charming person as well. He also becoming Bae Ta-mi’s boyfriend and really loved his girlfriend. Even though he was younger than Bae Ta-mi, but Park Mo-gun could handle it and becoming a mature-adorable boyfriend at the same time!

Jang Ki-yong in “Kill It”

Kill It was told a story about secret murderer Kim Soo-hyun and talented detective Do Hyun-jin. Both of them were lived in the same neighborhood, which also made them known to each other. However, Do Hyun-jin didn’t know that Kim Soo-hyun was a murderer since he was hidden the truth by becoming a veterinarian. Until one day, Do Hyun-jin has received a case that also leads her directly into Kim Soo-hyun. It also made them has found out the truth between them in the past. Through Kill It, Jang Ki-yong was played as Kim Soo-hyun. He was worked as a veterinarian, and known as an accomplished person and also animal lovers. However, it was only his disguise since his actual job was a secret murderer. He wasn’t an ordinary murderer, but he was the most talented secret murderer and already rented by a lot of huge organizations to did certain dangerous secret missions. Actually, Kim Soo-hyun wanted to found his family, and becoming a murderer was one of the ways to found them.
