Hinapia’s Disbanded News

Although we’re just getting excited seeing former Pristin members and a new member join the group Hinapia, unfortunately, the group had to end shortly after it just started. Not even a year after debut, Hinapia was officially disbanded. OSR Entertainment announced the disbandment of Hinapia by releasing a statement on Friday, August 20th, 2020. “First, we want to apologize for bringing bad news to fans who have always loved and waited for good news from Hinapia,” wrote a representative from the OSR Entertainment agency. In a written statement, OSR said they had disbanded Hinapia and also terminated the contracts with all members. “Our agency has spoken at length with the members for quite a long time. We have all come to the decision to disband the group and terminate our exclusive contracts with the five members,” the agency wrote. The agency hopes that fans will continue to support each member to be active again in the future. “The Hinapia members are set to be active in various fields in the future, we hope that fans will also support their new start,” wrote the agency. The agency also wrote a thank you note for the support and love given to HINAPIA during its nearly a year of debut. “Thank you for loving Hinapia until now and we apologize once again,” read the agency’s final words. The disbandment decision is reported to be caused by the company’s difficult situation after the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world. All the members agreed to terminate their contracts and disband the group after only nine months. Through her Instagram stories, Yaebin published a letter thanking fans for the support she has received since she was a member of Pristin until now, and asked them to continue supporting both her and the other members in their future individual activities. She wrote, “I’m writing this to express my feelings to everyone who must have been taken aback by the sudden news. First, I wasn’t able to fulfill my promise to repay all the support and love from our longtime fans who’ve watched over us and cheered us on since our PRISTIN days before Hinapia and once again we’ve had to convey the news of our disbandment, so I’m also so upset and feel sorry about that. However, I’m determined to keep working harder until the day, which will someday definitely come, that I’m able to fulfill that promise. And to the fans who cherished and loved Hinapia although my heart aches over the fact that we’ll no longer have chances to show how we’re improving, I want to tell you that we are only apart temporarily and we are always together in our hearts. Because of several difficult situations within the company, it was decided that our promotions could no longer continue, and I hope that our fans who have been curious about how we are doing will be understanding. Our promotions together were short, but I will remember all of the people who loved Hinapia. And although I can’t know the future, I’m going to work hard and show you better sides of myself so that the memories of all the fans who loved and cherished us won’t fade. So I hope you will continue to support our members as we go on separate paths and support myself who is sharing this news with you. And finally, I end this by expressing to you once again how grateful I was for your love.” She also posted a group photo along with the caption, “I laughed a lot, I was really happy, and it was glorious. That’s good enough.” Meanwhile, she has been active on her Instagram by posting selfies and videos to engage with fans.
