Goo Hara was Found Dead in Her Apartment

The K-pop star Goo Hara was found dead by her housekeeper in her apartment on November 24, 2019. The local South Korean police revealed that there was no evidence of murder and a handwritten suicide memo was found. The fans noticed her depression before. Therefore, we earnestly request that you refrain from writing speculative articles and spreading rumors.” The agency also asked the media and Goo Hara’s fans to refrain from making condolence calls.

Since Goo Hara’s family didn’t want an autopsy, they went straight to a funeral. They also wanted a private funeral, and it was held at Gangnam Severance Hospital and was attended by relatives and close friends. Meanwhile, Goo Hara’s agency prepared separate memorials for the fans and the media. It took place in St. Mary’s Hospital in Gangnam, South Korea, from November 25th to November 26th, 2019. Later on, Goo Hara’s body was cremated on November 27, 2019, and the cremation ashes were left at the Skycastle Memorial Park in Gyeonggi-do.

Former KARA members Park Gyu-ri, Nicole, and Heo Young-ji made Instagram posts through their accounts reminiscing Hara while longing for her as well. Kahi from the group After School on her Instagram @kahi_korea posted a picture of her and Goo Hara with the caption, “Another sun sets today. Never forget that someone is always praying for you, RIP.” Rapper Dindin also posted a picture of Hara on his Instagram @dindinem and wrote his apology to her since he couldn’t be there during her hard times. He also wished Kara to be always happy.

While people were mourning Goo Hara’s death at her funeral, there was a slight incident as well. Goo Hara’s mother showed up at her funeral and did inappropriate things in the gloomy atmosphere. She was strangely holding a cell phone, and it was revealed that Goo Hara’s mother was recording a video on her phone. Moreover, she also asked to take a picture with other celebrities who came to the funeral. According to Goo Hara’s brother, their mother abandoned him and Hara during their childhood.
