Jubin’s inclination towards music at a very young age of four was because of his father’s love for singing. He can play eight instruments, which include guitar, harmonium, flute, piano, drums and others. While studying at Mithila College in Mumbai, he met A. R. Rahman who appreciated his voice quality and also suggested that he should continue to work on his voice for a few more years before entering the music industry. Jubin participated in X-Factor, a musical reality show in 2019 and went on to become one of the top 25 participants. He has given top hits like “Meherbaani” from The Shaukeens (2014), “Bandeyaa” from Jazbaa (2015), “The Humma Song” from Ok Jaanu (2017) and many more. Jubin is Black Belter in Mixed martial arts. He is a national level shooter and is a district level athlete in the Discus throw and Shot put. He was a naughty boy, this was the reason why he often changed schools. He studied at St Joseph Academy in Dehradun, St. George’s College in Mussoorie, Brightlands School in Dehradun and Welham Boys’ School in Dehradun. He once said in an interview that he could not live without his guitar. His fandom is known as Millennials. His nickname is Jubi. Interestingly, he doesn’t like to visit a saloon to cut his hair, but he cuts his hair himself. During his school days, he once set fire to the new school uniforms, all because, he was emotionally attached to his old school uniform. At the age of 4, Jubin starts showing his interest in music. To fulfill his love for singing, Jubin Nautiyal enrolled in Welham’s Boys School, Dehradun, where he took up music as his primary subject. Apart from singing, Jubin can also play a number of musical instruments like piano, guitar, drums, harmonium, flute, etc. By the age of 18, Jubin Nautiyal was well known as a singer in Dehradun.  Jubin happened to meet famous musician A. R. Rahman. and He was so impressed by his voice quality, advised him to carry on with Riyaaz for a few more years before entering into the Indian Music Industry. Following his idol’s advice, Jubin came back to Dehradun and started taking training again under his former music teacher, Vandana Srivastava. Jubin spent almost four years polishing his skills in music by traveling and jamming with different musicians.  Once He traveled to Benaras (Varanasi) to learn light classical from Chhannulal Mishra, a well known classical singer.  Also, in order Jubin also enrolled in a music academy in Chennai to polish his western music skills, there he got the opportunity to learn under Prasanna (veteran guitarist ). In 2011, Jubin participated in the music reality show- X-Factor. In 2014, Jubin made his debut in the Indian Music Industry with the song “Ek Mulakaat” from the movie Sonali Cable, which was a hit.  Although he has sung many songs in Bollywood, he is best remembered for “Ek Mulakaat” from the movie Sonali Cable,  The Humma Song from Ok Jaanu, and He was the lead singer of the Hrithik Roshan starer movie Kaabil. Jubin was awarded as Rising Musical Star Award in 2015 at Zee Business Awards and Upcoming Male Vocalist of the Year at 8th Mirchi Music Awards, in 2016. Jubin Nautiyal’s recent hit song is ‘Tujhe Kitna Chahein Aur’ reloaded, from the movie Kabir Singh, and the trending song of the end of 2019 is ‘Tum Hi Aana’ and ‘Kinna Sona” from the movie Marjaavaan and Habibi ke Nain from Salman Khan’s Dabang 3. Jubin Nautiyal says he has given playback for a lot of actors like Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan, but his voice suits Akshay Kumar the most. He performed live at many events and gave his support to several charities. Jubin Nautiyal raises over Rs 10 lakh for Chamoli victims by the digital concert, which was viewed by over 2.5 lakh people digitally and he managed to raise Rs 13,91,111 digitally, which was handed over to the CM of Uttarakhand. Jubin Nautiyal released the romantic songs ‘Lut Gaye’ starring Emraan Hashmi and Yukti Thareja, directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, and ‘Main Jis Din Bhula Du’ along with Tulsi Kumar featuring Himansh Kohli and Sneha Namanandi, directed by Navjit Buttar.
