Business Proposal is a romantic-comedy-drama based on Webtoon ‘The Office Blind Date’. The drama tells a story about Shin Ha-ri (Kim Se-jeong) and Kang Tae-moo (Ahn Hyo-seop), a woman and a guy who make a ‘fake relationship’ to assure Kang Tae-moo’s grandfather. Initially, the two of them meet on a blind date, until Tae-moo offers Ha-ri a contract to be her fake girlfriend and she will get something in return. However, things get different after Tae-moo is the first one who falls for Ha-ri. Meanwhile, Ha-ri never realizes it until Tae-moo can assure her to the stage where he asked to marry her. On the other hand, Business Proposal also tells a romantic story about Ha-ri’s best friend Jin Young-seo (Seol In-ah), and Tae-moo’s best friend as well as his secretary, Cha Sung-hoon (Kim Min-gyu). During the last episode of Business Proposal, things get complicated after Tae-moo’s grandfather realized that Ha-ri and Tae-moo’s relationship initially was fake, although they have assured him that their relationship now is getting real. Moreover, people around Ha-ri started to talk behind her since she is dating Tae-moo, the CEO of her company. However, things started to settle down little by little. Tae-moo’s grandfather was slowly fond of Ha-ri, especially after she took care of him when he was sick. Tae-moo also gets a chance to meet Ha-ri’s parents and assure them that he wanted to marry their daughter seriously. But still, Tae-moo’s grandfather asks him to go to New York for a while since the office’s situation is worst for the sake of both of them. On the other hand, Young-seo and Sung-hoon’s relationship still going strong although Young-seo’s father hasn’t given his approval yet to their relationship. After some time apart, Ha-ri and Tae-moo reunited again after Tae-moo surprised her to return to Korea. Initially, Ha-ri wanted to get mad at Tae-moo because there was a rumor about him and another woman. Turns out, it wasn’t true and Tae-moo proposed to her instead. He said, “He [Tae-moo’s grandfather] told me not to come back home until you took this,” while giving Ha-ri a beautiful ring and asking her to get married and she said yes!
