BLACKPINK

On June 16th, 2020, YG Entertainment released the members’ teaser posters of the BLACKPINK comeback titled “How You Like That” for the BLACKPINK single pre-release on June 26th, 2020, at 6 PM. On May 18th, 2020, local time in Korea, BLACKPINK’s Korean label shared an update on the group’s impending comeback, originally teased for June. The company shared that more than 10 songs were recorded that will make the group’s first full-length album. YG added, “As we’ve prepared for this album for a long time, we will release contents in three different terms so that the group will get opportunities to visit the fans with more content and performances.” BLACKPINK will make their highly anticipated return to the music scene with a multi-pronged approach that strays from the usual K-pop model. BLACKPINK’s first full album in 2020 has more than 10 tracks in total and will be released in September 2020.

TWICE

Super Junior K.R.Y

On May 7th, 2020, Super Junior K.R.Y made a comeback with their 1st ever Korean album! Super Junior K.R.Y debuted back in 2006 and garnered attention for their numerous hit OST releases, including The One I Love, The Night Chicago Died, Stop Walking By, etc. While the unit has released various albums in Japan, also carrying out Japan solo concerts, this will mark K.R.Y’s first-ever album release in Korea outside of OSTs or within Super Junior albums. On May 18th, 2020, the group revealed their first teasers and the album title, When We Were Us. The teaser posters are simple, showing two outside shots of day and night.

AB6IX

AB6IX announced their comeback with their second mini-album VIVID on June 8th, 2020! 5NALLY will feature special solo songs by each of the AB6IX members. As teasers, AB6IX will be releasing individual concept photos of the members, a tracklist, and 5 music video teasers for every solo song.  

WJSN

WJSN returned with their new mini-album Neverland. The news was confirmed on May 11th, 2020. WJSN made their comeback on June 9th! They had released the first teaser image, causing fans to become excited and curious at the impending comeback.

DIA

On May 26th, 2020, DIA announced they would be making their comeback with their 6th mini-album Flower 4 Seasons. AID were extremely excited about the news especially since it marked DIA’s first comeback in more than a year since the release of their 5th mini-album, Newtro, back in March 2019. MBK Entertainment announced that DIA’s comeback would be a unit comeback with 5 members. WJSN Official Facebook Watch the fairytale-like music video below!

While the news has been receiving a lot of mixed reactions from AID who are sad that the first comeback in more than a year isn’t as a whole group, fans are still excited for the comeback and ready to cheer them on.

N.Flying

The band that had been active with four members including Lee Seung Hyub, Cha Hun, Kim Jae Hyun, and Yoo Hwe Seung, welcomed a new member in January: Seo Dongsung. N.Flying released a new album in June 2020. This is their first comeback after new member Dongsung joined the team. The comeback comes eight months after the release of N.Flying’s October 2019 mini-album Yaho, which featured the title track “Good Bam.”

IZ*ONE

IZONE is coming back! On May 19th, 2020, IZONE’s management shared a notice via their fan café to announce that the group will be releasing their third mini-album on June 15th, 2020. The statement reads, “The members are currently hard at work on the last stages of the album production, and they are devoting themselves to choreography practice so they can present you with a higher quality performance.”  

Stray Kids

Stray Kids had fans buzzing with the unveiling of the trailer for GO生, which will be the group’s first album release dropping on June 17th. Stray Kids rose excitement through the visual teaser released across the group’s official SNS platforms. Featuring various sets such as a race track, a restaurant kitchen, and what looks like a science lab in the middle of a construction field, fans are looking forward to the mysterious release!

D1CE

Rookie boy group D1CE will be making a comeback this June, approximately 10 months after the release of their debut album Wake Up: Roll The World. According to reports on May 7th, D1CE are currently preparing to return with an emotional ballad mini-album in June. The group is scheduled to take part in their comeback MV filming soon.

Weki Meki

It’s been only 4 months since Dazzle Dazzle in February, but the girls will be joining the girl group battle in June! Weki Meki will make their return on June 18th with their third mini-album titled HIDE and SEEK. The group released a photo teaser on their official Twitter account, sparking fans’ interest. Showing a crystal chandelier with what looks like a bunny and fox mask on top of the fixture, Weki Meki incites curiosity regarding what they are preparing for this summer’s comeback. Weki Weki is aiming to come back in June.

Seventeen

On June 8th, 2020, at midnight KST, the popular idol group revealed a new teaser for their upcoming 7th mini-album Heng:garæ – Journey of Youth. Heng:garæ is a romanized Korean word “헹가래” which refers to the act of people throwing someone in the air as a form of celebration. This marks their first album since their album An Ode and title song “Fear” last year. SEVENTEEN are in the process of recording their new album, planned to release on June 22nd. This will be their latest album release since last September, which showed their turn towards a darker concept rather than their usual fresh and bright sound.
