Pre-debut
Before his debut, Kwanghee was accepted as a trainee for Star Empire Entertainment. He appeared on the Mnet reality shows Children of Empire and Children of Empire Return. During his training days, they used a portable concert car to travel around and performed guerrilla concerts throughout Korea. He debuted as member of idol group ZE:A, which stands for Children of Empire, in 2010. ZE:A was formed by Star Empire Entertainment. The group released their debut mini album, titled Nativity, with its lead single, Mazeltov.
2010

In August, 2014, Kwanghee decided to leave his position as MC of JTBC’s In Bed With The Bos because of conflicting schedules with another TV program. The years of 2014 and 2015 were the busiest period of his career. His hair was longer, almost covering his ears. His face looked tighter and his cheeks seemed slightly slimmer than before. Kwanghee attended the 2016 MBC Entertainment Awards as a member of the highly popular variety show, Infinite Challenge. He looked very handsome while wearing a shiny blue suit. His lips looked smaller and his face looked tight. His short haircut showed his high, large ears.
2017
Kwanghee received his official enlistment date to join the military service on February 24, 2017. He was enlisted on March 13, 2017, and received training in Nonsan Army Training Center in Chungcheong Province. He was approved to join the military music department.
2018
On December 7, 2018, Kwanghee was discharged from military service after serving for 1 year and 9 months. News reporter gathered at the gate and took pictures of him. He looked much slimmer and his jawline was clearly visible. His face’s baby fat was completely gone and he seemed to have lost a lot of weight. When asked about his weigh loss, Kwanghee responded that he did a lot of things while serving the military and he lost some weight. He said that he deliberately went on a diet and lost 9 kg during his military service. He was weighed 59 kg when he was enlisted and weighed 50 kg when he was discharged.
