LIGHTSUM’s Pre-Debut

The members of LIGHTSUM came from various experiences before joining as a group. Nayoung, Chowon, and Yujeong were joining Produce 48, the famous reality competition show on Mnet. The show was the continuity of Produce 101. It resulted in Nayoung at rank 51, Chowon at rank 13, and Yujeong at rank 51. Then, Juhyeon even joined another survival show named The Unit: Idol Rebooting Project and gained rank 25. The other members were added since they were trainees for Cube Entertainment.
