The comeback date of BTS was announced on April 6, 2015, 2 weeks before the song and the album were set to be released. After the announcement of the comeback date, Big Hit Entertainment continued to inform about the plan to release this song through various platforms such as their official YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook accounts. On April 26, 2015, Big Hit Entertainment through their official YouTube account revealed the tracklist with “Outro: Love Is Not Over” as the ninth track together with the other 8 tracks of the album.
