Eunsang was a trainee of Brand New Music before participating in Produce X 101. He stole the attention of viewers and judges with his bright red hair color and matching white and red shirt. X1 was a Korean idol group that was formed by Mnet’s Produce X 101. Among Produce X 101 participants, ten of the best trainees were selected to debut in X1. The X member, the eleventh member was selected from the remaining trainees. The group was officially announced on July 19th, 2019. Lee Eun-sang, Han Seung-woo, Cho Seung-youn, Lee Han-kyeol, Kim Woo-seok, Kim Yo-han, Song Hyeon-jun, Son Dong-pyo, Cha Jun-ho, Kang Min-hee, and Nam Do-hyeon were selected as X1 members after several weeks of competition and vote collection. X1 debuted with their debut mini-album Quantum Leap and sold more than five hundred thousand copies. The selling was recorded as the best-selling debut album among K-pop idol groups. However, due to a vote-rigging scandal, Produce X 101 received huge criticism. Finally, on January 6th, 2020, X1 officially disbanded.
