TAHITI’s Jerry’s Debut With TAHITI
Ahn So-hyun started her career as a member of TAHITI with the stage name Jerry. She was the last member who promoted in the group while they did a comeback with a single titled “Oppa You’re Mine” that was released on June 10, 2014. Jerry was also the member who stayed until TAHITI disbanded. As an additional member after Tahiti’s former member Jungbin left due to deterioration in health, the existing members sang to some extent, but there was no member with the skills of a main vocalist, so it seems she was put in to compensate for that. Although her position in the team was the main vocalist, it may seem that Jerry has a high-pitched shuttle rather than that, but this is quite undervalued. The high notes are stable and cool, and the volume, vocalization, and pronunciation are quite excellent. However, due to the nature of girl group music, it is difficult to show off their skills. In all music shows, she holds a hand mic and performs every part. After Jerry was added to the group, the main points were filled with Jerry’s vocals, so it influenced the mood of the music.

On July 25, 2018, TAHITI announced that they disbanded through Instagram. Jerry also became the first member who announced the disbandment before the agency confirmed the news on their official Twitter. Tahiti’s Jerry posted on her Instagram on July 25, 2018, “Hello everyone. Yesterday was 4 years and a little over for me, and for Tahiti, it was a meaningful day to mark the 6th anniversary. I am very sorry to greet you with this message the very next day. Due to the coordination of opinions between the company and Tahiti members, it has been decided to disband Tahiti. In Korea, an album had not been released for two years, and activities in Japan were the only pleasures as a person standing on stage. There are many personal circumstances, and it has been concluded that after the last performance in April, further activities are impossible. I’m sorry I couldn’t come back with a better image. There were many hardships and many tears, but my 4th year as Jerry in Tahiti received undeserved love and is a very happy memory. I will not forget the love, anticipation, and great support you have given me, and I will engrave it in my heart. As Jerry or So-hyun, I will continue to be a singer. I can’t promise you what form it will be in yet, but thank you for your patience. I’m so sorry and I love you so much that I can’t express it in words.” Before disbanding, TAHITI’s Jerry was already popular and became a BJ and did several live performances on different platforms such as BIGO LIVE, V App, Twitch, AfreecaTV, and YouTube. In the next year after TAHITI was disbanded, she still kept her job and signed with another agency that is active in uploading content through YouTube. Besides working as a BJ, Jerry used her new stage name Anso and appeared on musical dramas since January 15, 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she had to stop the promotions. Anso also had a chance to be promoted as a soloist and released some singles and was featured on a K-drama soundtrack.

On December 25, 2019, Anso released her 1st single titled “Come Back.” In this song, Anso along with Yang Jeong-seung for composing and arrangement collaborated together to release a new song. “Come Back” is a song that is a BPM 68 standard ballad song that directly expresses the regret and mourning for a lost love. Composer Yang Jeong-seung wrote the song, and Anso wrote the lyrics and worked with her, adding the musical sophistication of the ballad genre to vocals. Anso also sent a message to her fans through this new song by saying: “Hello everyone, I’m Anso^^! We have carefully released our first soundtrack in a new nest under the new name of Anso, not Jerry, the main vocalist of Tahiti. This new song is an emotional ballad suitable for winter, and it is a song that anyone can easily listen to and sing along with. This is the first time I have participated in writing lyrics for the first time, so I think it will be a more meaningful first album. We ask for lots of love, interest and support for Anso’s first solo album “Come Back”!! I want to become a singer who is remembered saying, ‘Oh, this is the song’ when a song is played on the street. On March 23, 2020, Anso released her 2nd single titled “Paradise” in collaboration with Kiroy Y as the lyricist and composer. “Paradise” expresses the heart of a woman who begins a fearful love with Yang Jeong-seung’s unique sad melody and Anso’s appealing voice. It is expected as a sound source that opens the prelude to Yang Jeong-seung’s ballad who took over the album making, which will be heard by Anso, an idol main vocalist who succeeded in transforming into a solo vocalist with the know-how of producer Yang Jeong-seung who discovered and nurtured the best songs and vocalists of the time.
The ballad title “The Second Farewell,” recorded before Tahiti disbanded, is based on the secret genius patissier Han Do-woo (played by EXO’s Suho) who makes “bread that grants wishes” in the drama, and entertainment program writer No Mi-rae (played by Lee Se-young) who infiltrates a bakery to hire him. It is a song that expresses the affection of the two main characters who do not want to let go of their fate.
On May 18, 2020, Anso released another OST for a K-drama titled “Go With” which tells the beautiful story of the recovery of family love drawn by talented actors such as Go Doo-shim, Kang Eun-jin, and Jo Dong-hyuk. The collaboration with rookie singers Park Se-eun and Anso gave birth to a song where you can feel a fantastic female duet, giving strength to the drama.
