Twice revealed their comeback with their 6th extended play called Yes or Yes on October 11, 2018, through their agency JYP Entertainment. This EP consists of 7 songs with “Say You Love Me” being included as the second track and “Yes or Yes” as the lead single. Three of the Twice members, Jeongyeon, Chaeyoung, and Jihyo, took part in this EP by writing the lyrics for three songs. The first photo teaser for the group was released on October 23. Over the next three days from October 24 to 26, JYP Entertainment released the individual teasers for each member. The teaser for the MV was released consecutively on October 29 for the first teaser, October 31 for the second teaser, and November 2 for the third teaser. In Twice’s 6th extended play called Yes or Yes that was released on November 5, 2018, the track “Say You Love Me” was written and composed by Sophia Pae and Secret Weapon. Secret Weapon was also the one who arranged this song. The story of this song tells about the frustrations of a woman who is waiting for a confession from the person she likes. She didn’t expect much. She just hoped to hear a sincere expression of love from the bottom of his heart, just like other people in love.
