Sidra Iqbal is a celebrated TV Journalist and a passionate development activist from Pakistan. She presently hosts and produces ‘Insight with Sidra Iqbal’, teh flagship current affairs show on the state television, PTV News. She is the first Pakistani to be presented the GR8 Women Award for Journalism 2014 by the Government of UAE and the Indian Television Academy. Sidra is an accomplished media strategist. Previously, she was Vice President, Public Relations at Ogilvy & Mather Pakistan. As a young entrepreneur she successfully launched Statuspro 360, an integrated PR communications firm. In 2011, she founded Blinck, a thought leadership and advocacy group for young people. Blinck has been in the forefront with efforts relating to promoting youth entrepreneurship and empowerment. Sidra Iqbal won the English Speaking Union’s International Public Speaking Champion 1999 in London and was invited to the Buckingham Palace to receive her Winner’s certificate from HRH the Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip. This early achievement catapulted her as a powerful voice of development activism in the international arena. Sidra Iqbal successfully represented the youth of Pakistan at a number of power-packed forums in Australia, Cyprus, Japan, Turkey, UAE, US and many other countries throughout her college years.
