In July 2018, SNUPER’s Sangil appeared on King of Masked Singer as a contestant in costume as Eardrum Boyfriend. In this episode, he became the rival of My Ear’s Candy Honey Voice in the first round, and they both sang a duet of Lee Hi’s “1, 2, 3, 4.” The initial appearance of the two contestants with female and male voices became a very sweet duet as the opening.

SNUPER’s members Sangil, Sebin, Suhyun, and Woosung participated as contestants on The Unit. On November 3, 2017, SNUPER’s members held their first appearance together on The Unit before they were separated into different groups. During this episode, SNUPER’s Sangil received 2 boots. In episode 4, Sangil was ranked at 37th place. In episode 5, Sangil was ranked at 40th place. In episode 7, Sangil was ranked at 39th place. In episode 8, Sangil was ranked at 35th place. But, unfortunately, his journey needed to end in episode 10 at 33rd place. During Uni+ B evaluation, Sangil was added to Black Team with A.C.E’s Jun (center and leader), Chan, PK, Rayoon, Jin, Taeeun, Jungsang, and Im Junhyeok. They received 2nd place in this episode.
