About The 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards
The 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards took place on December 2nd, 2015, at AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong. The 2015 show marked the sixth event held outside of South Korea. The nominations were announced on October 30th, 2015. BIGBANG was in the lead with six nominations. Until the end of the award ceremony, the group received three awards from six nominations and became the recipient of most awards that night. This event marked the 17th Mnet Asian Music Awards and was broadcast live in Korea, Japan, America, South Asia through various TV channels and online streaming platforms. This time, the award was held in the same country and location for the third time. In 2015, the award ceremony took the latest stage of the Techart concept that combines advanced technology and art.

Artists’ Performances
A special performance from a member of Girls’ Generation took place that is quite worth mentioning. Girls’ Generation and TaeTiSeo (TTS) member Taeyeon flexed her vocals in the opening, with the solo hit “I.” Taeyeon delivered one of the most exceptional performances at the event as she filled the vast space of the Hong Kong stadium with her stirring voice.

SNSD’s Taeyeon and EXO’s Baekhyun didn’t greet each other. Taeyeon and Baekhyun are ex-lovers who are always being targeted by netizens about their relationship. At the 2015 MAMA, both of them looked awkward. When the MC announced Taeyeon as the winner, and Taeyeon came forward to receive the award, Baekhyun joined in applause and saw his ex-girlfriend, but Taeyeon did not have the same reaction. Taeyeon did not look towards EXO’s Baekhyun. Poor uri oppa. Seungri’s ‘Big Bang’ was sitting on EXO’s Sehun lap. While singing their hit song “Bae Bae,” Seungri from Big Bang suddenly came and sat in the arms of Sehun from EXO. The EXO members were surprised to see the fad of Seungri. At first, Sehun was shocked and covered his face but eventually, he resigned and Sehun leaned his head to Seungri’s shoulder. Other EXO members, like Chanyeol, joined in singing, while Lay remained cool. Krystal from f(x) put a bitchy face on MAMA. Upon arriving at the Red Carpet, Krystal from f(x) looked gloomy and lackluster. When the MC also asked, “Are you angry or something happened to you?” Krystal just smiled in response. Even when f(x) received an award, Krystal still put on a poker face while the other members Luna and Amber looked happy and they even gave a short speech.
