Tony Bennett has been married thrice. His previous marriages to Patricia Beech and Sandra Grant ended in divorces. From these two marriages, he had four kids including singer Antonia Bennett. He married his third wife Susan Crow in 2007. Bennett nearly died after a drug overdose incident in 1979. Initially he served as a copy boy for the Associated Press and also took several other low-paying jobs. He was inducted into the 2011 New Jersey Hall of Fame for his contributions to the Arts and Entertainment Industry. His neurologist told AARP that, prior to the pandemic, Bennett’s touring schedule “kept him on his toes and also stimulated his brain in a significant way”. Bennett had only started showing symptoms of decline in the two years leading up to the article and had continued to record tracks from 2018 to early 2020 for an album with Lady Gaga, despite at times being “lost and bewildered” during recording sessions. The album is expected to be released in early 2021.
