Kim Hyun-joong – Boys Over Flowers

There, she meets a group of four handsome boys who were known as F4 (Fantastic Four), the princes who ruled the school. In this drama, Kim Hyun-joong is cast as Yoon Ji-hoo, the second prince of F4. He, Goo Jun-pyo, So Yi-jung, and Song Woo-bin have been close friends since childhood. His character in the drama was a second lead male, between Goo Jun-pyo and Geum Jan-di’s relationships. In the beginning, he was like a guardian for Jan-di who was considered a fair target for bullies, but eventually, he fell in love with her. Yoon Ji-ho was an heir to a traditional medicine company. After graduating from high school he was going to go on to medical school. In the in the last episode in the drama, it showed that Yoon Ji-hu had graduated and Geum Jan-di became his junior in third-year medical students. Kim Hyun-joong’s acting in Boys Over Flowers was perfect. His calm expression as a perfect boy made all the female viewers fall in love with his character in the drama. As the second lead male, he made everyone who watched the drama fall for his charm and hope he got the girl in the end. This proves that Kim Hyun-joong was a good actor. Kim Hyun-joong – Playful Kiss

Playful Kiss is based originally on the Japanese manga series “Itazura na Kiss”. This drama was adapted into a Taiwanese drama called They Kiss Again in 2007, and a Japanese drama with the same title as the manga in 2008.  The drama is a romantic comedy about a high-school girl named Oh Ha-ni who moves into the home of her crush, Baek Seung-jo, after her house is destroyed. The drama follows their relationship through high school, college, and beyond. Kim Hyun-joong plays the role of Baek Seung-jo, who starts the drama as a smart, handsome, and cool high school boy. He was loved by a naive and cute girl, Oh Ha-ni, who tagged him her crush. Oh Ha-ni was played by actress Jung So-min. Their chemistry in this drama was cute and unique, making viewers’ hearts flutter. Seung Jo’s personality remains pretty cold and stiff throughout the drama, except for those lovely little moments here and there where you see that he is, in fact, developing feelings for Oh Ha-ni. But even then, he still likes to toy with her emotions, and it is a slow progression.

Kim Hyun-joong – Dream High

Dream High is a story about a school for the arts known as Kirin High School. The school teaches singing, dance, and acting, and the drama follows the lives of students as they aspire to become superstars. This drama focused on students with different dreams, genders, and backgrounds, but who all have the goals of becoming stars. Dream High stars included Bae Young-joon, who plays the chairman of the board of Kirin Art School, Kim Soo-hyun as Song Sam-dong, who lives in the country-side and dreams of becoming an owner of a stock farm, Bae Suzy as Go Hye-mi, the most beautiful and popular girl in Kirin High School. She dreamed of becoming a world-renowned classical vocalist, but after the collapse of her family, she had no choice but to enter Kirin High School of Art. Finally, we have 2PM’s Taecyeon as Jin-gook, who was a gifted dancer, but a troubled student at school. Next, the drama has an exchange student named Jason that was played by 2PM’s Wooyoung, who comes to Kirin High after receiving the top score for new applicants. He comes from abroad and shows outstanding skills as a dancer. Meanwhile, have Yoon Becky, played by actress Eun Jung who looks up to Go Hye-mi, who appears to have everything. They soon become rivals. The last main character is Yoon Young-ah as Eria, is a popular teen star. She enters Kirin High School of Art and becomes the object of admiration by her peers. She looks forward to having a “regular” school life. In Dream High, Kim Hyun-joong appeared as a cameo in episode 1, which aired on January 3, 2011. For his role he played a top celebrity answering questions from reporters at an airport upon his arrival. Kim Hyun Joong looked very fashionable in his sunglasses, and one of his answers in the drama gained the interest of fans according to allkpop. His character was a top celebrity who was coming back from overseas and meeting with Bae Young-joon at the airport.

Kim Hyun-joong – Inspiring Generation

Inspiring Generation is drama about a man named Shin Jung-tae who protects his fellow men from the Japanese Invasion. He has natural fighting skills, and later on earns his place as one of the greatest fighters during Japanese Rule. This drama is set in the 1930s, in Shanghai, China, and is a story about love, friendship, loyalty, patriotism, and aspiration. Kim Hyun-joong plays as a main lead male in this drama. His character is Shin Jung-tae, who is an extraordinary man filled with unconditional love for his country and his family. In the drama, Kim Hyun-joong partnered with actress Lim Soo-hyang, who played as Lady Gaga Deguchi. Kim Hyun-joong’s character was fixed very well with him. The manly looks as a fighter with tan skin, a cool face, and perfect body made it seem like the character was created just for him. This drama shows a very different type of story than the other dramas we’ve discussed, and is a very interesting story to watch.
