UHSN (‘U-Hak Sonyeo/유학소녀/Study Abroad Girl) is a 2019 reality show that aired on Mnet where ten girls from various countries will get the chance to experience what it’s like to be a K-pop idol. The show was running from May 23 to July 18, 2019, with screentime for 90 minutes. The purpose of forming this group is to introduce the culture of South Korea as a whole to other countries without being constrained by distance or inaccurate information. After the reality show, the participant from the show would have the chance to debut before each of them returns to their native countries. Thus, UHSN debuted on July 4, 2019, as they released a single entitled “Popsicle” and continued with the music video on July 12, 2019. The girl group debut under the label of Stone Music Entertainment.
