Subin debuted with VICTON on November 9th, 2016, with the extended play (EP) Voice to New World. Subin’s positions in VICTON are sub-vocalist, rapper, and maknae of the group. He has three older sisters. He is a former Cube Entertainment trainee. He was close to the members of Pentagon because he was a member of the debut group of Pentagon in Cube. He then moved from Cube Ent. to Plan A Entertainment and made his debut as a member of VICTON. If Subin had made his debut as planned, he would have been the youngest member of Pentagon; however, he left before Pentagon Maker. Han Seung-woo said he was worried that Subin, who joined VICTON late, might not get close to the members. Before becoming a Cube Entertainment trainee, he was a trainee of JYP Entertainment which is why he is close to Natti, AB6IX’s Lee Dae-hwi, and Jeon Woong, who starred in Sixteen. Jeon Woong and Subin were from the same Daejeon and became close friends with each other as trainees, and played a role game at a PC room in Gangnam. He is also close with TXT’s Yeonjun. They became close during his trainee days in Cube Entertainment. He likes games very much. He is left-handed. Subin attended GB Academy. His most confident part of his body is his eyebrows.
