On June 1, 2020, TWICE released “MORE & MORE” and promoted their new single on various music shows in Korea. JYP Entertainment Announced TWICE’s Jeongyeon’s Injury and Hiatus
Despite suffering a neck injury, Jeongyeon isn’t absent and still performed at their online concert Beyond Live TWICE titled World in a Day. This was announced by JYP Entertainment in a statement on August 7, 2020: “Regarding the online concert, Beyond Live TWICE: World in a Day, Jeongyeon will appear by sitting on a chair because of her injury.” On October 26, 2020, TWICE released their 2nd album Eyes Wide Open. But, a week before that, JYP Entertainment released a statement about Jeongyeon. They announced that she will not participate in the album promotion. Apart from the injury, she’s also was reported to have an anxiety disorder. All of TWICE’s members and the agency agreed and asked Jeongyeon to focus on her treatment.

After a few months of rest, Jeongyeon finally participated during the promotion of “Alcohol Free” in June 2021. Commonly, they do promotions on various TV networks such as SBS.
